mersea island

Yesterday we drove up to mersea island to eat seafood. There is a inexpensive and busy restaurant on the island and my friends seem to go there when they feel like eating oysters.

It was a really lovely day to go out of town and smell the sea. We had to wait for an hour and half after getting on their list but I enjoyed sitting around in front of the sea. We were so hungry but managed not to have anything but olives and beers in a pub nearby before getting seats in the restaurant.

It was my second time but I don't eat oysters. Instead I ate plenty of crabs, lobsters and prawns. (And you wouldn't believe how much we ate...!)

昨日はワイたちとmersea islandにシーフードを食べに行きました。

Colchesterにある島で、ロンドンから1時間半ほどドライブをします。牡蠣の養殖が盛んなところだそうで、牡蠣はもちろん、いろんなシーフードを安く食べる事ができます。

お店は予約をとらないので、直に行ってリストに名前を載せた後、近くのパブでのんびりしました。背中に陽を受けて潮の香りを楽しみながら、どうにかオリーブとビールだけでやり過ごしました。約1時間半後、席に着くや否や決まっていたオーダーを伝えます。自分たちで皿とグラスを棚から取り、持ち込みのワインを開け、作ってきたソースやパンで、たらふく食べました。本当にお腹がいっぱいというほど食べてもロンドンではあり得ない値段で、幸せでした。
