jerusalem artichoke

I tried Jerusalem artichoke for lunch.
I found this crop in the farmers' market yesterday; otherwise I wouldn't see it anywhere else. (or I might have been seeing it as another kind of taro.)
Anyway I looked into Nigel Slater and carefully read his instructions and followed one of his recipes (kind of...again). Ingredients: bacon, onion, garlic, mushroom, Jerusalem artichoke, lemon, fennel seeds, stock, parsley and s&p.
My honest opinion is I don't like it much. I'm not so keen for its disinfectant-like aftertaste. Although it is said good for health with lots of minerals, I need to grow up a bit to appreciate this taste maybe...

By the way, thank you very much for those who made it to our Open Studio.

アーティチョークとは言ったものの、見た目は芋です。近くのファーマーズマーケットで見つけ、Nigel Slaterの本を参考に、一品作ってみました。
