While working on a few orders I started playing on the wheel. I just tried to enjoy the very therapeutic process while working in a small mass-production.. then started making a series of very small pots (hope you can tell from the size of the turning tool in the front.). They'll be available during our Open studio which is coming up in the next month. (24th & 25th November, 1st & 2nd December. Please keep the date in your diary!)

ちょっとした大量生産をしているので、ろくろで気分転換をしようとしたところ、小さいポットがかわいく出来上がったので、シリーズを作り始めてしまいました。遊び半分でろくろを引く時間は本当に楽しいです。ただただ土の感触を味わうのです。
ろくろの腕はまだまだ未熟なのですが、それでも手と目が慣れてきて、少しずつ上達してきました。こちらで陶芸を始めた私は、もちろんイギリス流にろくろを回します。実は日本とは回る向きが違います。たまに、日本の時計回りで試しに引こうとするのですが、目が反対回りに慣れてしまっているようで、目眩を感じるようになってしまいました。でも、いつか、日本で教えてもらいたいものです。
瑞代ちゃんの作るミニポットシリーズかわいいね。やっぱり完成度が違う(´･_･`)
