As you have seen it on news it's devastating. The beautiful country towns were washed away and they lost their homes and loved ones in the waves and fires.
In the wide area there're still tremors during day and night. It is still cold, even snows. There's no much electricity, no water or food in some areas. Even though we've learnt to live with earthquakes, this is nothing we have prepared for.
Now it' revealed that 50,000 houses destroyed or damaged, more than 430,000 people are living in shelters, more than 1,800 people confirmed dead and more than 10,000 people missing... On top of these natural disasters, they have more to deal with...
The farmers were getting ready for new crops after a long, harsh winter. The spring season they were looking for was just around the corner. The fishermen lost their boats crashed inland or swept away.
At the moment all they can think about is where they can get water and food. It will be really hard for them to think of the future after having lost all the things they had in their lives. It must be so hard to know where to start. It will take a very long time to get back to normal. It will be great if you can help them in the first step.
and more organisations to accept donation...
And thank you SO much for sending them international rescue teams...!
