This is what I've been eating these days... 'kayu'.
Kayu is like a Chinese dish congee and you would call it rice porridge. We eat it often when we're too sick to eat as usual. I made it with sweet potato like my mum used to do for us.
I had it with Chirimen-sansyo which is baby fishes and sansyo (Japanese herb-spice) boiled in soy sauce and sugar. When she makes it, there would be more side dishes to eat with the porridge of the blunt taste as its main ingredients are only rice, water and salt. It is a very gentle and soothing dish for us.

Thank you very much for those who made to our open studio this weekend! We're open over the coming weekend too. We're looking forward to seeing you!
