cima di rapa

Fried rice with cima di rapa. I got the vegetable from Leila's shop.
First I thought it could be a kind of broccoli as it's got similar but small flower head, then another customer at the shop recommended me to fry it with anchovy, which I sometimes do especially now with sprouting broccoli.
So I decided to cook in another way. Cima di rapa also reminded me of another vegetable I cannot get in this country: Mibuna. So I decided to cook it like I would do with Mibuna. Seasoning is only salt, very simple and I loved it. It made me feel spring has sprung!

今日はbonus day。

  2. It's called broccoli rabe in NYC. It's great stirred fried with lots of garlic (after par-boiled) . I could not find it when I was living in London.

  3. Oh so it is a kind of broccoli, then! This was my first time to see the vegetable here. I think it's because food culture here is improving now.
